I'm just sad that, when I found myself unexpectedly single with a 5-year-old and a 10-day-old baby, back in the day, women couldn't admit to feeling overwhelmed because we were SUPPOSED to be these superwomen, supermoms, and, oh, yeah, breadwinners as well.

All new parents feel totally overwhelmed. Saying you're overwhelmed as a new parent is like saying the sky is up. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. Especially for women.
