I'm sure this is a wonderful article, but I can't read it. I mean, literally, it's light grey text on a light grey background and these eyes can't see it.

Unless my computer (or Medium) is malfunctioning, if you want 1/3 to 1/2 of the population to read it you should set it up with enough contrast to make it possible for older eyes.
